Meet the Team
Sean Gildea
Sean is the founder of Cowabunga Collectibles and has over 15 years of experience as a Java web application developer. Before opening Cowabunga, he founded Boston Brick Co., a used LEGO store that gave kids and adults a place to explore creativity and reconnect with their love of LEGO.
Sean has always believed a store should be more than just a place to shop—it should be part of the community. During his 2+ years with Boston Brick Co., Sean helped raise over $5,000 for local food banks and wildlife centers. Today, Cowabunga Collectibles continues that tradition by actively supporting Plymouth-area charities and local school PTAs through community events and fundraisers.
A lifelong gamer and pop culture fan, Sean’s favorite games include Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Slay the Spire, and, more recently, Valheim. Growing up with G.I. Joe, TMNT, Transformers, and LEGO helped shape the passion for collectibles that still fuels the store today.
Roger Johnston
Roger is an artist, cosplayer, and lifelong comic book fan with a deep passion for Star Wars, Fallout and pop culture. He brings a wealth of knowledge spanning comics, movies, and collectibles to Cowabunga Collectibles. Sean and Roger are childhood friends who have known each other since they were kids, sharing a lifelong love of fandom and creativity. Roger spent over a decade working for New England Comics, giving him extensive, hands-on experience in the collectibles industry and a strong understanding of what fans and collectors are truly looking for.
Logan Mine
Logan holds a degree in graphic design and is deeply passionate about gaming, Pokémon, anime, comics, and pop culture. He brings a wide-ranging knowledge base that complements the team and often covers areas even Sean and Roger don’t.
Sean raised over $5000 during his tenure as Owner of Boston Brick Co.
